10/23-10/25/26 Thank you for such a magical stay to celebrate our 8th anniversary. The food and the staff were excellent and made us feel at home. The views made us feel secluded and they never got old. Watching the sunrise with the great coffee was incredible. 10/16-10/18/26 Hinata family- Thank you for a much needed escape from the chaos of life. It was amazing to slow down from our normal pace of work, chores, kids, sports, etc and just be still. We walked slower, enjoyed conversation, ate some amazing food, and explored the town. 7/29/26 Beautiful stay! Over two days we had 1 of lovely weather + 1 of much rain. We recommend visiting Shelburne Falls, grocery run at McClisters (?) was excellent. 10/8 - 10/10 This is our second visit to Hinata. The first visit was in February 2025. Quite a contrast in weather. This visit was even more enjoyable seeing we knew our way around the resort. We spent two relaxing nights at Hinata Retreat. The cabins are incredibly comfortable and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The food and the service at The Perch were both outstanding. But it's the mountain views that are the true showstopper. We are already talking about a return trip.

We went hiking at Mass Audubon's High ledges and visited the bridge of flowers in Shelburne Falls (so pretty!). We took a trip out to Treehouse Brewing too -> such a unique spot! We had a two night getaway at Hinata Retreat The rooms were private,modern,clean and romantic. Bed was the best we ever slept on. We celebrated our 40th anniversary at Hinata Retreat, and it was so much more than we could have ever imagined. We were able to unwind, relax, and unplug. The cabin was secluded, but boasted mountain views, and all the amenities of a 5 star hotel.
10 out of 10 experience! My husband surprised me with this getaway for our 15th anniversary. It was the best way to unplug, unwind and enjoy each other. Wow, what can’t you say about the Hinata Retreat. Retreat is the word. Their idea and vision is carried on through out the site. We stayed late September so cool night were perfect for the heavy comforter. The bed and shower are superb. Had a hard time removing myself from both. This was such an amazing experience! Everything about the guesthouse was perfect! The views in all types of skies is a treat to witness! I’d give Hinata Retreat 10 stars if I could. Our weekend there was absolutely glorious. The attention to detail and personalized touches truly made our stay special. This place is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a mini adults only escape to destress and reconnect, celebrate an anniversary/birthday, or looking for a mini getaway that’s close by! The restaurant on site is spectacular and I had the best steak that I have gotten while eating out. We booked the VIP experience & I recommend going this route if you are interested in staying here. Adding in the couples massage will elevate your stay! You must do this!
We were looking for a place for a mini honeymoon that was relaxing and remote. This could not have been more perfect! When you are in your cabin it is as if nobody else existed anywhere near you. The cabins were amazing and such attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. We have already recommended it to all our friends and we will definitely be back again!
The cabins are perfect. The on-site restaurant has great food and drinks. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly. There are several other factors that make this place amazing. The view from the cabin is gorgeous in the daytime especially sunrise and at night the stargazing is breathtaking. The privacy in the cabin and on the back deck both from guests and staff are also a big plus. One of the nicest places I've ever sipped my morning coffee.

7/4/2026 Happy 4th of July! My husband and I decided to celebrate each other on this holiday weekend. Life can get so busy that you can easily forget to take time for each other. This place was an absolute dream! I planed a little getaway for my boyfriends birthday and it was perfect. We did bring our own food and cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it worked out bc the cabins come equipped with everything you need to cook. We do plan on trying the restaurant and couples massage next time. Everything was amazing down to the bed, comforters, and pillows. I was a little bummed I forgot my games but the cabin provided everything you need! When they say DON’T over pack they mean it!…
We stayed for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we walked in the cabin the vibe was amazing, the fireplace was already going along with candles and rose petals covering the floor and bed and TV playing relaxing nature sounds. The bed was very comfortable and the views from the back deck were amazing. The restaurant was stunning inside with great views of the mountains from the inside and on the back deck. We plan on returning in the future.

The reviews under 5 stars for Hinata are honestly comical. If you are someone who is unable to please even in a perfect situation, then I suppose steer clear. If you are looking for a luxurious experience in nature with friendly and intimate mom and pop personalized elements in an impeccably clean space with incredible food and drink, then book it. 6/22-6/24/26 We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Everything was comfortable, from the bed, to the tub & shower. The hot tub felt so nice. Had another amazing stay at the retreat, this time in the summer. It was really nice to see the grounds in an alternate season. This is our ultimate escape for relaxation. We hiked, relaxed by the fire pit and enjoyed the hot tub. It was also great being able to eat outside at the restaurant both nights. After this trip, I don’t know if we could pick between seasons. Snowed in cozy cabin or beautiful outside experiences, both have been great.

Surprised my girlfriend with a 3-day stay. Was excited to drive up the access road, and very glad we did. Heart and adrenaline pumping. This place is simply heavenly. So much thought was put into this place. I booked this getaway for my husband's 40th. Two other couples booked cabins and we were able to get them all conveniently right next to each other. Hinata is an amazing place to relax and have a romantic getaway. The entire experience was thought through from the layout of the well decorated room to the deck with firepit and hot tub to the mini kitchen to and odds and ends like cards and scrabble. The view of mountains both day and night are completely breathtaking. The staff was cheerful and very helpful and my husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing time away. We were looking for a quiet place to get away. Hinata was more than just that. The serene New England Landscape in the fall was incredible. The staff was there when you needed. The location is so serene, the restaurant food was delicious and the servers were great, shoutout to Mary L she is amazing and so pleasant. Hinata Retreat is the most perfect place to reconnect with your significant other. The cabins are perfectly setup and they clearly thought through every detail. From luxury bedding to the double shower heads to the board games, everything you need is contained in your private oasis. The staff was incredible and I would be remiss to not mention The Perch restaurant. Everything we tried exceeded all expectations. I cannot wait to go back in the future.

Me and my wife spent our honeymoon here and I must say it was an amazing experience. The staff is very friendly and responsive. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into every detail. The rooms and the views from them are stunning. The food at the perch was absolutely delicious. And if you want a real treat the couples massages were top notch and one of the best massages we have ever had.

An absolute dream stay from booking, the before you stay call to confirm details of your personalized stay, the cabin was tastefully appointed and luxurious, hot tub and outdoor fire pit were greatly enjoyed, view was amazing... really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend.

hinata retreat is a dream. We arrived and had a couples massage that was out of this world. Our amenities were absolutely incredible. The bed is a legitimate cloud. The details throughout the property are meticulous. It was truly everything that my husband and I needed. The perch was one of the best dining experiences and the cocktails were incredible. The Hinata retreat was the perfect spot for my partner and I to relax and reflect this holiday weekend. We were looking to come here originally for his winter birthday, instead it turned into a July 4th trip! The cabin was truly comfortable, and they really did think of everything! My wife and I stayed at the Hinata for a long weekend in May 2026. Everything was top-notch; the staff were attentive, the cabin was comfortable, and the onsite restaurant was amazing. The area was still under construction as they build out additional cabins and prepare for a spa. Berkshire East is less than 5 minutes away, right across the valley. We will definitely be coming back for the spa and I'm excited to see how the retreat develops.
Hinata is truly amazing! If you're looking for a beautiful scenic getaway in Massachusetts book this immediately. The service is top notch and the cabins and view are absolutely stunning. I can't say enough about Hinata. This was our first stay and we will be back. My only regret is not booking our next vacation back before we left. It was that good! This place is wonderful for a couples getaway, friends weekend or even a small company retreat. Book soon before this place goes super viral and there's a years wait…
Two nights is not enough! My wife and I needed some real relaxation and boy did we find it at Hinata! The cabins have everything you need and more. The Perch has an amazing staff and atmosphere. My boyfriend and I wanted to find a quiet get-away to spend just a few days for our anniversary - and I am so thankful I found this spot. I was shocked at how it was even better than the pictures. They truly do provide an amazing experience. Absolutely love that they also provide yoga mats. We ended up going on the nights that their restaurant was closed, but with the grill and kitchen, it was quite easy to cook up our own meals. We will certainly be back!
