September guests wrote about the moments that stayed with them: a quiet room, a first experience, an evening that seemed to slow down. Their words trace a gentler kind of time away, made meaningful in its own way.

The small things that settle you

A stay can leave its mark in details both large and nearly invisible. These guests noticed how those details shaped the feeling of being there.

The perfect place for two. Every detail, down to the quiet close cabinets, is thought of to help create the most serene place to relax. We had the best 2 days in cabin 9. Thank you for hosting us. We will be back! ♡ Justin + Sarah — Justin + Sarah, guest journal, September 2026

We came up from Long Island for a few days away and couldn’t have been more pleased. from the phone call a week before we got here to the rose petals, personalized note, & bottle of wine when we arrived, Hinata has been exceptional. the breakfasts every morning were delicious. Dinner at The Perch was wonderful. The food & service were great. Yesterday we went on a very challenging 5 mile hike and today we hiked to Water Falls. Tree House Brewery was a great way to spend an afternoon. Eating breakfast on the deck with this beautiful view was lovely too. We will definitely be back. A little room to begin again

For some, the time away marked a first: a pause from new parenthood, or an experience shared for the first time. The journal holds those moments in the guests’ own words.

Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. This was my bday trip and also the first time away since our son was born (1.5 years ago!) We feel refreshed and ready to take on reality :) We will be back soon and will remember our time in cabin 21 forever ♡ ♡ Chuyann + Daniel — Chuyann + Daniel, guest journal, September 2026

The moment we opened the door, the setting, the lights, the welcoming, everything was so beautiful. We experience things for the first time in this place. My husband had his first massage, it was my first time in a hot tub. — Luis & Maria Deveaux 9/17/2026, guest journal, September 2026

Evenings that take their time

Guests remembered the warmth of dinner, the hush of night, and the ease of letting an evening unfold. Sometimes, that is enough to make a weekend feel complete.

The views were incredible, the weather was perfect, & the cabin itself was beautiful & incredibly relaxing. The food at the Perch was fantastic & we loved being able to unwind in the hot tub & by the fire pit. — Bryan + Lindsay, guest journal, September 2026

This was lovely. Relaxing and just what we needed. Hot tub & fireplace at night = magic. Jesse & Janis 22nd anniversary — Jesse & Janis, guest journal, September 2026

Thank you, Hinata for a relaxing couple of days. We came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we had a lovely time. Dinner at the Perch both nights were great and the staff here are polite and engaging. — Jess + Eric, guest journal, September 2026

We had an amazing, lazy weekend here celebrating our eighth anniversary. Everything is so incredibly thoughtful and intentional. The staff is so kind and welcoming. We’d only been here a couple of hours before we started promising each other we were going to come back. We’re thrilled with how our anniversary weekend turned out. We can’t wait for our next walk back to the cabin after dinner under all those stars. David & Dorothy Albany, NY — David & Dorothy Albany, NY, guest journal, September 2026

For a little while, the day can ask less of you. What remains is the time you share.
