Some evenings seem to ask very little of us. At Hinata, guests describe the hours around sunset, the stars overhead, and the first quiet moments of morning in their own words.

As the evening settles

For some, the day’s last light makes room for being together.

It was truly the most perfect, serene getaway - from spending time roasting marshmallows on the deck while the sun setting, soaking in the tub w/ our sparkling wine and being in the moment with each other, we couldn’t ask for anything more. — A guest, guest journal, July 2026

Relaxing with the fur blanket that feels like a big hug! Try it, you can thank us later. The Perch is great, service was amazing, drinks are very good! Sunrise to Sunset it was a beautiful experience and amazing stay! — A guest, guest journal, May 2026

The night brings its own kind of stillness.

Looking up

A glance at the sky can hold the whole evening.

We watched the moon rise last night and were both reminded of the beauty of nature. Waking up and seeing the mist on the mountains was so simple and blissful. — Ryan & Kelly, guest journal, July 2026

P.S. Take the time to look up at night and get lost in the milky way — Katie + Louis, guest journal, August 2026

Star gazing from the hot tub was spectacular. Saw 5 shooting stars!! — A guest, guest journal, August 2026

The memories stay close to the small details: a rising moon, a stretch of stars, the feeling of being there together.

Waiting for morning

Then the sky begins to change, and the day arrives gently.

Good morning I am sitting out on the deck at the Hinata Resort Retreat waiting for the sunrise. The sounds of rushing waters, a woodpecker and birds chirping. Perfect weather to be wrapped in the robe they have for you to use. — Katherine + Robert, guest journal, April 2026

Would highly recommend watching the sunrise and listening to the birds. — Karrington & Mahari, guest journal, July 2026

And then witnessing the most gorgeous sunrise and sunset, moments of quiet beauty that felt almost unreal. — Tamika E., Google review

For one guest, those early hours became a way to feel restored and closer to each other.

After spending two nights there, we left feeling restored, grounded, and more connected—to ourselves and to each other. — Tamika E., Google review

We even fell asleep under the stars. — Melanie + Keith Lapointe, guest journal, August 2026

Between the last glow of evening and the first light of morning, there is room to simply be together.
