Some days ask for your attention from every direction. In these August entries, guests describe the moments when that asking grew quieter, and there was room to turn toward each other.

When the noise settles

A few words can hold the feeling of finally having space.

Our stay at Hinata was the most relaxing experience we have had in many months. This place helped us stay connected to one another via nature and un-plugging. My fiancé and I cherished our time here. — A.H., guest journal, August 2026

This was just the quiet and relaxation we needed after a busy summer with two boys. — Ashley + Mike Rhode Island, guest journal, August 2026

This was the unplug I think we both NEEDED to RECENTER :) — Andrea + Jason, guest journal, August 2026

The hours between things

Here, the small parts of a day take their own shape.

Stargazing in the hot tub. Coffee and sunrise in the hot tub. Crosswords on the couch. — Heidi + Willie, guest journal, August 2026

We took full advantage of the hot tub, soaking tub, firepit, grill and lots of star gazing. — Cheri + Ryan, guest journal, August 2026

The second we arrived I felt relaxed and peaceful. Dinner at Perch was lovely - we actually preferred to sit at the bar and eat as the ambiance and views were wonderful. — Dina, guest journal, August 2026

A celebration, held gently

Even a special occasion can leave room for simply being together.

Thank you for an amazing space to celebrate 25 years of marriage! From the rose petals & wine to greet us to the fantastic meal @ The Perch to the massage… the list goes on. We are so relaxed and focussed on what is most important. — Chris & Katie #TEAMSTAR, guest journal, August 2026
