Some kinds of privacy are measured in distance. Others are felt in the quiet: the sense that, for a while, the world has stopped asking for your attention.

The feeling of being away

Guests describe a quiet that lets the two of you settle into your own company.

We completely disconnected from reality and never saw another human for two full days and that’s exactly what we needed. — Dawn W., Google review

Exactly what my wife and I needed. From the moment we were greeted by Jen to the moment we checked out, it felt as if the entire staff was there for just the two of us. However, in the cabin itself, it felt as if no one was around for miles. — Chris L., Google review

Quiet enough to forget the rest

For one guest, the stillness made the presence of other cabins fade from thought.

Everything is so calm and quiet that we forget that this is a whole retreat with other cabins. The view is straight out of a movie, and the early autumn breeze as you sit out on the deck is perfect. — A guest, guest journal, September 2026

The Hot tub, Sunrises Mountain views, Quietness, and Privacy. — Dave and Cheryllann, guest journal, September 2026

A place to reconnect

A little room around the day can make it easier to turn toward each other.

You have created the most wonderful space to relax and unplug. We desperately needed to do just that. And we did. — A guest, guest journal, September 2026

What a fabulous weekend celebrating our wedding - we came here the day after we got married for some relaxation, privacy, and to celebrate us - we couldn’t have picked a better place. — The Newlyweds Thorsons, guest journal, August 2026

The small world of a cabin

Guests remember the quiet in particular moments: slow mornings, a private deck, and time together.

It was a very enjoyable stay. From the slow mornings, hiking through the mountains in the beautiful foliage to enjoying the views from our private deck. — Stephanie & Corentin, guest journal, October 2026

The soft atmosphere of the cabin, the natural light that enveloped the space, the magnificent views, and the solitude will remain with us forever. — A guest, guest journal, May 2026

Today is our 18th wedding anniversary. 18 years, on the 18th, in Cabin 18! Our massages were fantastic! The hot tub was just what we needed! — Megan and Eric Hanson, guest journal, October 2026
